The Starrett No. 749 Electronic Depth Micrometer has a wide 0-6" (0-150mm) range for measuring the depth of most holes, slots, shoulders, and projections. The 4" (100mm) base is hardened, ground, and lapped for long-lasting precision, and the instrument has all the operational and functional features of the entire family of Starrett Electronic Micrometers. The No. 749 has these features:
