Starrett - Electric Data Collection System

Shop Floor Pro™ Software

No. 728-3 / EDP No. 66662

Shop Floor Pro™ Software presents powerful data acquisition and analysis features in newly designed intuitive, simple-to-use interface. Shop Floor Pro™ was developed for today's manufacturing environment, powerful enough for quality control, versatile enough for manufacturing.

  • Economical, easy to learn real-time data collection and control charting software package ideally suited to your shop floor data collection needs. It offers a convenient interface, operates in a stand alone or networked environment and allows for data entry directly from gages or through the keyboard

  • Automatically leads your operators through the data collection process, reducing your training requirements while also reducing the possibility of data collection errors

  • Pre-defined Work Sets can be easily created for Work Centers, part numbers or whatever your data collection needs. Each Work Set opens in a single step, and supports up to 20 separate control charts. Each control chart can show different characteristics for the same part or characteristics from multiple parts and are easily accessed via tabs across the bottom of the window

  • Chart Types include X-Bar/Range, X-Bar Sigma, Individual-X/Moving Range and Run Charts. Subgroup sizes are user definable and range from one to twenty, depending on the chart type. Each chart page displays a control chart with an optional Histogram and Summary Statistics window. The Summary Statistics may also be custom configured to best suit your specific information requirement

  • Control Limits may be based on the plotted data or defined by the user. You may also choose to use either a Normal Distribution or a Johnson Distribution to define the Individual-X control limits, as well as the curve displayed in the Histogram and the Process Capability Indices calculations

  • Supports real time data entry via gages connected to a PC serial port. Gages may be connected directly to the PC through a multiplexer

  • Easy to understand data form provides for convenient manual data entry. The data form has a data value box that prompts the operator for each data point. The data value box also graphically displays the data value relative to user defined specifications with a small bar chart. Data within specifications turns the display green, with the height of the bar indicating the relative position of the data point within the specifications. If the data value is not within specifications, the bar chart display turns red. Data entry validation is also supported and a warning message is issued if the entered data value exceeds the upper or lower specification

  • As each data value is entered, it is automatically marked with date, time, user and gage identification, which fulfill your traceability requirements. Three additional traceability fields may also be customized for your particular needs, such as lot numbers, or assignable causes

  • Auto Advance feature automatically advances the data form to the next page or characteristic after data entry is completed for the previous page. To allow operators time to check the process, a time delay from 5 to 120 seconds can also be specified

  • Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) compliant database. This single database can be accessed by multiple workstations for convenient real-time data entry, as well as by other applications with ODBC query functionality for more detailed analysis, such as with Starrett SPC Plus II

  • Change term names familiar to your company, User to Operator, Process to Part and Workset to Manufacturing Cell

  • Attribute Analysis

  • Password protection

  • Ability to define privilege levels for 23 functions, allowing the administrator to control access to nearly all functions within the software
  • Copy multiple characteristics from one process to another, saving setup time

  • Edit data including audit trails

  • Foot switch sequencing for Starrett No. 761 Multiplexers

  • Toolbar for most common functions

  • Analysis feature has "Stoplights" that change color (red, yellow and green) tracking out-of-control conditions. Double-clicking on the icon brings up the chart. Out-of-control conditions are selected from a checkbox list

  • "Explorer View" allows "DRAG AND DROP" copying of characteristics from one part to another, thus saving time by eliminating the need to reproduce features that are the same on more than one part

  • Larger users have the ability to use Microsoft SQL as the database platform

  • Charts now available include Scatter, pareto, Attributes, Box-whisker, Bar and Pie

  • Symbols can be used on charts that are traceable to your traceability fields
