Starrett No. 739 SPC Plus® II Software is a Windows®-based program that is fast, versatile, and easy to use for virtually all SPC/QC applications.
Ease of Use and Functionality
- Move through menus and select options with easy point-and-click mouse control
- Almost limitless style of presentation one or more charts on the screen, colorful graphics for charts and reports
- Open Database Connectivity (ODBC): The ODBC Query feature allows any ODBC data source to be accessed for read-only analysis. The "query definition" is stored as part of a regular QDB file and can be subsequently re-run to obtain a current set of data. The "query results" appear much like normal columns in the SPC data editor
Versatility
- Data can be entered from any Starrett electronic measuring tool, No. 761 Multiplexer, No. 772 Data Collectors or other RS232C communication devices
- Also has the ability to interface with other brands of tools, data collectors, etc.
Data Manipulation for Superior Analyses
- "Cut/Paste" or "Copy/Paste" to and from other applications, allowing professional presentations
- Spreadsheet functions available in data files
- Convenient tool bar for rapid selection of frequently used options
- Query function available to analyze data based on user defined fields
- Dynamic data exchange allows real time data input from a variety of Starrett or other electronic gages and other Windows® applications
- Choice of file format standard DBF, high performance QDB for SPC Plus and ASCII
- Accepts virtually unlimited number of features per file. An 80-character descriptive field may be viewed during "File/Open" for easy selection
- Any number of data files and charts may be viewed simultaneously
- Networks: SPC Plus II will run on
Exponentially Weighted Moving Average
- Used like CuSum and also to control processes with an inherent drifting mean, using Montgomery's prediction error technique
Autocorrelation Function
- An analysis tool rather than a control tool. This function determines the extent that current process conditions are dependent on previous conditions
Moving Average/Moving Range or Moving Sigma
- Useful for controlling processes with inconsequential cyclical patterns which would otherwise produce false warnings on standard charts
Multivariate
- Charts signal shifts in the relationship between (up to 10) characteristics using a single parameter
Process Capability Analysis
- No. 739 uses any of the following distributions, at your option:
Normal
Weibull
Folded Normal: typically used for TIR measurements, such as concentricity, roundness, flatness, etc.
Johnson: provides one of the Johnson family of bounded or unbounded curves fitted to the data (includes the normal and log normal)
- Cp, Cpk, Cr, Cpm and Z values, as well as predicted yields are calculations that are included
- Histogram provides distributions of the process over a batch of measurements or a period of time
Short Run Analysis
- Short Run uses multiple parts, each constituting a distinct "run," to determine common characteristics of the process for all runs. Available as an option in X-Bar, Individual-X, P, Np, C and U charts
ATTRIBUTE DATA
- Used to identify those processes affecting your operations by measuring defect occurrence. SPC Plus® II offers:
NP Charts and C Charts
P Charts and U Charts
Other Quality Tools
- The No. 739 Program also provides a variety of management and brainstorming tools for determining factors significant to your company's productivity and profitability
Scatter Diagram: used to determine if two variables are "related"
Pareto Analysis: based on "counts" or "costs"
