This micrometer is for measuring the depth of wear grooves in the disc of brake systems.
The micrometer has a 3" (75 mm) frame with a depth of 3 1/2" (88 mm) to allow additional reach. It has a flat carbide spindle and a carbide anvil with a 60° point.
