  • Q: If I am a distributor, how can I set up a re-sale account?

    A: You can fax or email us a copy of your re-sale certificate. Most first time transaction are done via credit card but if you would like to be set up on terms, along with your re-sale certificate you can send us a list of your credit references.

  • Q: If I am looking for a tool or parts for a tool, what information do I need?

    A: The more information you have is always better. Some things you want to have are, the name of the manufacturer, EDP or part number and in the case of larger machinery, the serial number.

  • Q: How do I place and order with J.W. Donchin Co.?

    A: The preferred method is calling us directly. Our customer service department is open from 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. CST. You can also send your order via fax or email. All first time orders are processed either on a credit card or wire transfer unless previously discussed with a representative.

  • Q: How much is shipping & handling?

    A: Most of our orders are shipped F.O.B. from Chicago (60651) and ship UPS ground unless otherwise requested by the customer.

  • Q: I don’t see a specific manufacturer on you line card. Can I still get a quote?

    A: We are constantly acquiring lines of new products and sometime they have not made it onto the line card. If you are looking for something that is not on our site you can call or email and someone will do their best to assist or point you in the right direction.

  • Q: What are your hours of operation?

    A: Our regular business hours are 7:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. CST, however we have customers around the globe, so our sales team is monitoring emails 24 hours a day and can usually answer any questions you may have.

  • Q: What do I need to know when ordering end mills?

    A: When you are ordering cutting tools such as end mills you want to know, the material (carbide or high speed), the number of flutes, and single or double ended.

  • Q: What do I need to know when ordering pin gauges?

    A: You will want to know the size, grade (X,Y,ZZ,XX) plus, minus or bi-lateral.

  • Q: What do I need to know when ordering a micrometer?

    A: The most important things you want to know is accuracy, head surface, type of adjustment (ratchet, plain or friction) what kind of readout and rotating or non rotating.

  • Q: How can I get a demo on a tool?

    A: Some smaller tools we can provide you with an online tutorial. With some of the larger machines we can sometimes demo the tool at your location or have you visit one of our authorized facilities.

  • Q: If I did not purchase a tool from you, can I still call for support?

    A: Absolutely! We have many employees with many years of experience and can answer or help you troubleshoot almost any problem.
